Creating a Comfortable Sleep Environment During COVID-19

At B-Sensible, we are just like you. We are anxious and trying to keep things together for our families as this COVID-19 pandemic inches closer and closer to our homes. However, as many of us continue to self-quarantine and social distance, it is important to realize that we can still bring a bit of rest and relaxation to our current situation. Here are a few tips for creating a comfortable sleep environment during the coronavirus crisis.

Tip #1: Create a Cozy Bed

It might seem like all we are doing during this crisis is sitting around and watching television. The truth is that it is still important to get a solid night of sleep and doing this starts with your bed. Choose a duvet cover or quilt that is both soft and has a little bit of weight for snuggling down underneath. If getting too hot or sweating is an issue, our ultra-soft waterproof sheets are a great solution. And add pillows or a mattress pad for increased overall softness.

Tip #2: Use Sound as a Sleep Tool

If you’re having a hard time sleeping, use sound as a sleep tool. There are dozens and dozens of smartphone apps that feature things like nature sounds, white noise, and binaural beats to help you drift off into a deep slumber. Plus, if you have a connected device like an Amazon Echo or Google Home, you can use these items to play timed sounds for sleep.

Tip #3: Don’t Be Afraid to Order Online

Another tip? Don’t be afraid to order online while we are riding this out. It might not be possible or wise to head to the store, but as of now, all mail services are still running smoothly or only slightly delayed. Our B-Sensible team is still shipping out products to families and many major retailers have an online ordering strategy to help you get what you need to make your home as comfortable as possible.
